CakeIQ helps bakeries manage orders, customer communications, and authorised lifecycle marketing. Your business controls its customer data. CakeIQ processes that data only to provide, secure, and support the services you select.
We do not sell your customer data.
We do not use it to independently promote CakeIQ or third-party services to your customers.
We contact your customers only to deliver communications and services authorised by your business, or where required by law.
We restrict access to authorised users, personnel, and trusted service providers who need it to operate the service.
We apply appropriate technical and organisational safeguards and maintain procedures for access, incidents, retention, and deletion.
Where lifecycle marketing is enabled, your business is responsible for ensuring it has the appropriate lawful basis or marketing permission from your customers. CakeIQ records unsubscribe requests and stops the marketing covered by those requests. A minimal suppression record may be retained only to prevent accidental re-contact.
You will normally have 30 days to export your information or reactivate your account. Customer data will then be deleted from active systems, with residual backup copies removed through our scheduled deletion cycle, normally within 90 days, unless a lawful instruction or legal obligation requires otherwise.
CakeIQ provides secure technology and processor protections. Each cake shop remains responsible for collecting customer information lawfully, providing its own privacy notice, managing staff access, obtaining marketing permissions, and choosing retention periods appropriate to its business.
